Bushy Brows

If there’s one thing that’s made a comeback this year it’s bushy brows. Forget 90’s pencil brows, if you want your brows to be on point you need to have hairs for days. But what if you aren’t naturally blessed with thick and luscious face framers? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

A good tip to make your brows look wayyy thicker is to use a tinted brow gel. Fill in your brows as normal then use the brow gel to push your hairs up and outwards. This will instantly create a bushier look and help to set the brows in place. If you want a more permanent fix, brow lamination is also a good option.

Autumn Queen

Okay, so this look is more of an editorial fun take on autumn – but we love it! This autumn queen has incorporated a range of brown and orange hues to create a stunning look reminiscent of the falling autumn leaves.

Plus, who can forget those bambi eyes? Adding a little gold glitter really makes the eyes POP  in this otherwise smokey look. If you want to explore your artistic side and blending techniques, this could be a great seasonal look to try.

Dark Lip

The classic autumnal bold lip. We love trying out new lip colours all year round, but dark purples and reds are solely reserved for the colder months. Pair this look with an oversized trench coat and chunky boots and you’re onto a winner.

A good tip for working with darker lip colours is to use a lip brush. This will make your application look much more precise and neat.

Graphic Liner

We know blue liner isn’t your classic autumn makeup look, but this is for those who want to stand out! Ditch the usual brown tones and opt for a bolder colour to create an interesting and unique look.

Plus, you don’t even need to buy any new products. Simply wet one of your eyeshadows (the more pigmented, the better) to create a paste and the colour will apply beautifully to your lids.

Natural Beauty

Who knew freckles could be fashionable? It’s time to stop covering them up and embrace your natural skin this autumn. There’s been a huge shift to the natural look in the makeup industry this year, so it’s time to give it a go for yourself!

Switch up your high coverage foundation for BB cream to add a healthy glow to your face WITHOUT covering up the natural features and textures of your skin. If you’re not naturally blessed with freckles, use a small pointed brush and light brown eyeshadow to create the same illusion.

Cat Eye

Sexy and sultry, the classic cat eye is a firm autumn makeup fave. Thanks to the likes of Bella Hadid, this dramatic look has surged in popularity once more. A steady hand is required to perfect this look, but with plenty of practice you’ll get there.

If you’re new to this technique, start off with a dark eyeshadow rather than a liquid eyeliner – that way it’ll be much easier to fix any mistakes.

Cut Crease

The cut crease is a versatile look that can be dressed up and down depending on the occasion. For evening, add glitters and bold colours to the crease to create a more dramatic look. For day time, use neutral nude and brown tones to accentuate the eye and create dimension.

Concealer is your best friend when it comes to cutting the crease. Use small amounts of concealer and an angled brush to carve out the shape, then set with powder.

Brown Eyed Girl

It’s time for the brown eyed beauties to shine! During autumn, you can really play on your eye colour and exaggerate your dark eyes with brown eyeshadow. Create a beautifully smokey look by applying darker shadows all around the eye and blending out.

To exaggerate the effect further, add brown eyeliner to the waterline and finish the look with a pair of fluttery false eyelashes.

Feeling Purple

If you want to inject a little colour into your autumn makeup routine, purple is the perfect colour. Not too bright, it adds just the right amount of vibrancy to your face and can help to make your features pop. This colour works especially well with brown eyes.

Add a little purple to the eyelid and smoke out with a warm brown shadow to create a more understated look.

Vintage Glamour

Want to look like a vintage pinup this autumn, why not? Pair luscious curls with a classic red lip and you’ll look just like you’ve walked out of a 50’s cocktail bar. There’s something super autumnal about a red lip, and you can transfer this look to the winter months too.

Set your red lips with some translucent powder then reapply lipstick over the top and your red pout won’t budge all day.
